Can I move the App?

Yes, the App can be moved by using the mouse to drag it to any location on the screen. The location will be saved when the app is closed.

What images can I use?

The World View app uses images saved as JPEG, GIF and PNG.  When adding the image URL, the URL must end in .jpg, .png. or .gif.

How do I shuffle images?

Right-click on the current image and select “Shuffle Images.” All images will be displayed before the images are re-shuffled.

Where and how are images / settings stored?

Images and settings are stored in INI files, which are held in the “World View” folder located in the “My Documents” folder. The INI files can be edited manually using a text editor. They can also be deleted entirely, in which case they will be generated again after exiting the app or saving the setting via the Options window.

Are there keyboard hot keys?

Yes, the hot keys are listed below:

F11: Toggle to display image full screen and back.
N / Right Arrow: Go to next image.
P / Left Arrow: Go to previous image.

Can I save images?

Yes, images can be saved either manually or automatically.

  1. To save manually, right click on the current image and select “Download Image.” Images can be saved to: Default Images (setup in the options page), the desktop, or the user’s “My Pictures” folder.
  2. To save automatically, open the “Options” window and mark each image checkbox as “Save to File.” The image will automatically download to the default folder, which is in setup on the “General” tab of the “Options” window. Next, select the blue folder icon as the default folder to save the image.

How many images can I setup?

By default, 28 images are setup but up to 50 images may be used. Mark the “Use” checkbox on each new image added.

How do I change the rotation interval?

To change the interval between images, open the “Options” window and select the desired rotation interval from the drop box.  Images can be set individually, so clicking the “Apply to All Images” button will change all 50 images to the value in the drop box.

Can I have the images full screen?

Yes, there are two ways to display images full screen:

  1. Use the “F11” key. This is a toggle between full screen and the current window size.
  2. Double-click the image. This is also a toggle between full screen and the current window size.

Can I use Windows 10 Notifications?

Yes, Windows 10 notifications can be activated to display every time a new image is loaded.  By default, this is turned off and can be activated via the “Options” windows.  Click the “View Windows Notifications” to turn on the notifications.

How do I use multiple INI files?

World View uses INI files to load the current image settings. To load the various INI files, right click the current image and select “Load INI File.” This will open a dialog box to select the INI file. By default, the “webcam.ini” is located in the “World View” in the user’s “My Documents” folder.
